What a fabulous year we have had here at Peta Spooner Academy of Dance 2025! Summer & Winter School, Workshops, our Annual Show, Exams and we finished up on Wednesday with our studio breakup. Please read through important information for 2026!
2026 Registrations
Thursday, 29 January
Studio 2, 4.30pm-6pm
Come along, meet the teachers and enrol for Term 1
If you have second hand leotards/skirts to donate or sell, please bring them to the studio (washed & priced)
Term 1 begins - Tuesday, 3 February 2026 - Timetable will be coming soon.

PSAD is offering one whole term for FREE
Ages 5-6 (10 spaces only)
Ages 7-10 (10 spaces only)
Ballet & Jazz fun, no cost, just come and dance!

2026 Show Dates - We pack into the Theatre Royal Nelson on Sunday, 19 July. Shows are on 24 & 25 July.
There will be rehearsals during the school holidays!
Have you seen PSAD advertising at the Tahuna Medical Centre on the screens?
The studios are looking fabulous with all the new artwork, an initiative by MakeShift Spaces, to fill Nelson’s empty retail spaces with vibrant installations by artists and thank you to Trevor for maintaining our gardens!
Seniors have been selling raffles at the Prince Albert on Nile Street every Friday for the past month (raising money to attend Summer School 2026 in Wellington at The New Zealand School of Dance). Come along, have have a drink/meal and a chin wag, approx
5-5.30pm start. Tickets are $2 - raffle sheets will be on Peta’s desk during classes if you cannot make it on Friday afternoon. Gabi, Sabine, Tessa, Claudia, Nyah and Lily thank you all for your support.
*We will also be doing a sausage sizzle at Mitre 10 on Saturday 3, 11 & 17 January
